Energy Edge SystemThe EnergyEdge system is primarily for slab-on-grade construction with a foundation wall. Variations on installation include monolithic placement.  This stay-in-place, forming system replaces traditional forms when used with the internal bracing system.  The system may also be used as a “form liner”, reducing the number of braces needed for proper installation.  Please refer to installation guidelines for complete instructions.

EnergyFlash Rail to Protect Rigid Insulation

Primary Use: Protect at-grade insulation for basements, crawl spaces, monolithic and post-tensioned slabs, and existing edges.

Standard Size: 9 1/4″ tall, 8′ long

Composition: PVC Channel

Color: Concrete Gray; can be finished

General Uses: EF210 protects insulation between grade & wall system.  Flashing offset creates weeping location for exterior finishing systems.

Primary Use: Join, support and anchor EnergyEdge rails into concrete.

Standard Size: 8″ tall, 3-3/4″ deep, 2″ wide

Features: EnergyEdge braces “snap” into top and bottom channels of EE Rails.  They anchor the rails into the concrete edge, provide perimeter rebar support and can be used as an internal bracing system.

Composition: Reclaimed, extruded PVC

Color: Black

Installation Note: When using braces for internal support, it is recommended that braces occur at the joints, within 12″ of a joint and 24″ on center.  If external support is used (like traditional kickers), braces should be placed at the joint, within 18″ of the joint and 36″ on center.
